Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting the Pyramid Program, which offers integrated services for children with significant social and emotional needs. This is a full-time contract opportunity based at a welcoming elementary school, right in the heart of Urbana. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you’ll provide vital one-on-one and small-group behavioral support alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a nurturing, structured learning environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
  • Experience working with children displaying strong emotional and verbal behaviors is highly preferred
  • Familiarity with special education or behavioral intervention within school settings is a plus
  • Compassionate, calm, and adaptable communication style
  • Strong documentation and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining student dignity and confidentiality at all times

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Implement behavioral intervention plans under the supervision of BCBA and special education specialists
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students in the Pyramid Program
  • Collect behavioral data and document student progress
  • De-escalate challenging behaviors using proactive, evidence-based techniques
  • Communicate with family members and educational staff to support student goals
  • Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for students with diverse needs
