Location: Sacramento, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office
An established and growing organization is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support a multi-state workforce of over 500 employees. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting HR operations, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and payroll administration.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has experience supporting HR operations, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and payroll administration.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and administration of HR programs, policies, procedures, and initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with OSHA compliance and workplace safety initiatives.
- Support employee relations matters, including coaching, performance improvement plans, and staff communications.
- Maintain employee records and conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
- Assist with Workers' Compensation, unemployment, disability, and leave administration.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Support full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, background checks, and pre-employment screenings.
- Assist with government reporting requirements such as EEO and California Pay Data reporting.
- Help develop and maintain HR training materials and programs.
- Support semi-monthly payroll processing and related administrative functions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of Human Resources experience supporting at least 100 California employees.
- Working knowledge of California labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Experience with employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and HR administration.
- Familiarity with payroll processes and HRIS systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills preferred.
