Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience or confidence working with 1st and 2nd grade students
- Strong ability to implement IEPs and differentiate instruction based on student needs
- Passion for inclusive education and adapting curriculum to various learning styles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and specialized interventions for a caseload of 1st and 2nd graders
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Track and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages participation and growth
