Help shape the success of students by supporting their academic and emotional growth as a contract School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time opportunity is based near Stamford, CT, serving an itinerant role across multiple school sites. Working closely with educators, families, and other related service professionals, you’ll deliver vital psychological services and become a valued resource for building positive learning environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for planning appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and monitor IEPs and 504 plans
  • Facilitate group and individual counseling sessions to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges
  • Engage in crisis intervention, consultation, and participate in school-based teams
  • Support data-driven decision making through frequent progress monitoring and documentation
  • Provide staff in-service training and parent workshops on relevant mental health topics
  • Travel between assigned schools to deliver consistent, high-quality services

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
  • Valid state-issued School Psychologist certification or eligibility
  • Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Strong assessment, intervention, and consultation skills
  • Ability to manage diverse caseloads and travel efficiently between schools
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • For paraprofessional support, fluency in ASL is not required but is considered highly desirable
