Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification (Illinois PEL or equivalent).
• Prior experience teaching ELA at the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade levels preferred.

• Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs.
• Commitment to collaborative team teaching and communication with parents and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality ELA instruction adapted to the needs of 4th and 5th grade students.
• Manage and provide specialized support for a caseload of 9-14 students with diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to create inclusive lessons and classroom environments.
• Develop, monitor, and report on student IEP goals and progress.
• Engage with families to foster positive relationships and support student growth.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state requirements.
