Occupational Therapist School Setting in Anoka, MN

Key Qualifications:

• Hold a current Occupational Therapy license (or eligibility) for Minnesota
• Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
• Knowledge of best practices in delivering OT services to students from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage a full caseload

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary and middle school students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living
• Evaluate students referred for OT and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress reports, and required paperwork for compliance
• Consult with teachers and families to provide strategies and accommodations that enhance student participation and performance
• Adapt and implement therapy interventions in both individual and small group settings, tailored to each student’s needs
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture that promotes growth and learning for all
