Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join a fully functional 24/7 in-house Respiratory Therapy department. This role supports a diverse patient population across a 6-bed ICU, Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical units, Pediatrics, and low-volume newborn stabilization.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility
• New York State license must be active and in hand prior to submission
• BLS
• ACLS
• CRT
• NRP
• Strong adult critical-care and ED experience

Required Clinical Skills

• Nasal and oral airway placement
• Nasal and oral suctioning
• Tracheostomy care and suctioning
• Pulmonary hygiene
• Sputum specimen collection
• Mechanical ventilation management and weaning
• BiPAP and CPAP
• HFNC
• ABG interpretation
• Aerosol therapy and medication administration
• Invasive and noninvasive ventilator management

Patient Population

• Primarily adult patients
• ICU and Emergency Department
• Medical/Surgical patients
• Pediatric patients
• Low-volume newborn stabilization prior to transport
• May occasionally perform EKGs after hours to support Cardiology

Preferred ventilator experience:

• Servo I
• LTV
• Hamilton T1

Compensation: $2,056 weekly!
