Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Kaukauna, Wisconsin

A travel pharmacist opportunity is available at a 75-bed hospital in Medford, WI, offering a dynamic inpatient pharmacy experience. This role focuses on delivering quality pharmaceutical care across diverse clinical areas, including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and emergency services.

Schedule and Hours:

• Mainly 10-hour day shifts
• 8-hour weekend shifts on rotation
• ASAP start
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks or more

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple concurrent responsibilities within a central inpatient pharmacy setting
• Verify EPIC medication orders accurately and efficiently
• Review and check technician work to ensure compliance and safety
• Respond to pharmacist inquiries over the phone promptly
• Prepare and provide inpatient and outpatient intravenous therapies, inpatient unit dose medications, and outpatient chemotherapy treatments
• Support patient care across various departments, maintaining an inpatient census of approximately 30-40 patients

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Licensed pharmacist with hospital pharmacy experience
• Proficient in EPIC pharmacy system
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient medication preparation and verification
• Experience with chemotherapy and complex medication regimens is a plus
