Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience teaching at elementary, middle, or high school level, depending on the specific role
- Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Ability to support students with diverse learning needs, adapting lessons as needed
- Previous experience in self-contained, inclusion, or behavior support settings preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
