Travel Hospital Pharmacist - Middleton, WI

Embrace a dynamic role as a pharmacist serving a 75-bed hospital in Medford, WI, with a focus on inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services. This travel assignment offers an opportunity to work in a supportive and varied hospital environment, primarily covering day shifts with a flexible schedule tailored to meet the needs of hospital pharmacy operations.

Schedule & Hours:

• Mainly 10-hour day shifts
• Weekend rotations involve 8-hour day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Manage a busy inpatient pharmacy, handling multiple tasks including verifying EPIC orders and reviewing technician work
• Respond promptly to pharmacist phone calls, ensuring effective communication across departments
• Prepare and dispense inpatient IV medications, unit dose medications, outpatient chemotherapy, and other specialty medications
• Support various hospital departments such as Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, oncology, surgery, and emergency department
• Maintain an inpatient census typically ranging from 30 to 40 patients

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Current pharmacist licensure with experience in hospital pharmacy settings
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Strong multitasking and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient medication dispensing, including IV and chemotherapy preparation
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams in various clinical areas
