Instructional Assistant - Oakland, CA

Step into an active, engaging role supporting students as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aide in a renowned district just north of San Francisco. Multiple full-time contract positions are available, with opportunities to work at a variety of elementary campuses including Strawberry Point, Park, Edna Maguire, Tam Valley, and Old Mill Elementary Schools. Your commitment will make a crucial impact—whether you prefer assisting in Transitional Kindergarten through Kindergarten or 1st through 5th grade classrooms.

Assignments run from August 17, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Enjoy a consistent schedule of 6.5 hours per day (totaling 32.5 hours weekly), with shifts between 7:45am–2:45pm or 8:00am-3:00pm to accommodate before and after school needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Paraprofessional experience in school settings preferred
• Comfortable working with young children, including supporting toileting/diapering as needed
• Ability to collaborate closely with classroom teachers and school staff
• Willingness to complete required para training before starting
• Reliable transportation, with awareness of bridge tolls for certain commutes (please confirm ease of commute prior to applying)
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment for all students

Key Responsibilities:
