This position offers a dynamic environment serving a close-knit healthcare team and community, with assignments starting as soon as possible and extending for 13 weeks or longer. The schedule consists of five 8-hour day shifts per week, providing a consistent routine for work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth pharmacy operations
  • Consult and collaborate with physicians and nurses on medication management
  • Perform pharmacokinetic monitoring and dose adjustments
  • Utilize IT systems including Cerner and Omnicell for medication distribution and documentation

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Michigan pharmacist license is required
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience is essential
  • Comfort with practicing in a rural or remote Northern Michigan setting
