This full-time contract position is perfect for educators interested in providing dedicated support in ELA and Math. Your schedule runs Tuesday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, letting you focus intensely on student growth in a structured yet flexible environment.
As a member of the resource team, you’ll work with a caseload of approximately 30 students, collaborating with a dynamic staff to deliver differentiated instruction, implement IEPs, and help learners achieve their potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification from the state
- Classroom experience with 5th through 8th grade students preferred
- Strong background in ELA and Math instruction and intervention
- Demonstrated ability to support students with varying learning needs
- Experience managing IEP goals, documentation, and progress reports
- Effective communication skills for working with families, students, and colleagues
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted resource support and instruction for ELA and Math
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records
- Adapt curriculum to ensure accessibility for special education students
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
