Per Diem Pharmacy Technician in Champaign, IL
Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Support frontline pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Technician providing essential assistance in prescription processing and customer service at a busy retail location in Champaign, Illinois. This per diem opportunity covers two weekday shifts from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on September 15th and 16th, offering flexibility and hands-on experience in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Accurately entering patient information and prescription orders into the pharmacy computer system.
- Assisting pharmacists in the dispensing of prescription medication.
- Managing and replenishing over-the-counter (OTC) inventory to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Greeting and assisting customers with their needs, delivering outstanding service.
- Troubleshooting and resolving claim adjudication issues by interacting with third-party prescription plans.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Must hold a clear and active Pharmacy Technician license in Illinois.
- A minimum of one year of retail pharmacy experience is required.
- Experience with Pioneer Rx software is preferred but not mandatory.
