Step into a rewarding role supporting K-5 students by providing vital occupational therapy services during a leave of absence at a welcoming elementary school near Tustin, CA. Starting in September and running through December, this contract opportunity offers the chance to make a real difference in students’ daily development while working alongside dedicated educators and support staff.

As the only occupational therapist serving the school, you'll have the autonomy and opportunity to use your skills in a collaborative, fast-paced educational environment. This role requires someone proactive and adaptable, ready to engage immediately and support ongoing campus initiatives amid changing district priorities.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Active California OT License
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children (elementary school setting preferred)
  • Ability to manage a full caseload and provide direct, consultative, and collaborative services
  • Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
  • Confidence working independently; substitutes, interns, and COTAs are not eligible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to students in grades K-5
  • Implement and modify treatment plans in coordination with educators, families, and support staff
  • Document progress, maintain compliance with IEPs, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Assess students, provide recommendations, and support transitions within the educational program
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with teachers, administrators, and parents
