School Psychologist in Fairfield, CT

This full-time itinerant position allows you to utilize your expertise in psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention within a collaborative educational environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility for CT certification)
• Proficiency in conducting psychoeducational evaluations, interpreting data, and developing recommendations
• Experience with individualized education plan (IEP) processes and participation in multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Ability to travel between assigned schools as needed
• Fluency in ASL is not required, but for supportive paraprofessionals, at minimum, fluency is preferred

• Provide comprehensive psychological services including assessment, direct interventions, crisis response, and consultation
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional needs
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development and review of IEPs
• Implement evidence-based practices for the prevention, assessment, and intervention of learning and behavioral challenges
• Assist in the development and delivery of professional development or training for school staff
• Maintain timely, organized records and adhere to all legal, ethical, and district-based protocols
