Special Education Teacher - Discovery Bay, California

Key Qualifications:

• Active California mild/moderate Special Education teaching credentials required
• Previous experience working with elementary and middle school-age students preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
• Passion for fostering inclusion and encouraging all learners to achieve their potential
• Ability to create and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and differentiated lesson plans to a caseload of students in grades TK-8
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom practices
• Maintain up-to-date records, IEPs, and documentation in line with district and state guidelines
• Regularly assess student progress and modify strategies as needed to enhance learning outcomes
• Provide guidance and support to families regarding student goals, accommodations, and progress
