Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education (required)
  • Experience teaching elementary grades, particularly 3rd-5th grade students
  • Strong knowledge of ELA curriculum, standards, and instructional strategies
  • Ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs and IEP goals
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and positive classroom culture

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement ELA lessons tailored to diverse student abilities and IEP objectives
  • Maintain detailed records for IEP compliance and student progress monitoring
  • Work collaboratively with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Create a welcoming and safe classroom environment that encourages participation and growth
  • Utilize data-driven instruction and regular assessments to inform teaching
  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-based trainings as necessary
