Job Description
Step into a role that makes a difference by supporting 5th through 8th grade students as a Special Education Resource Teacher. This full-time contract position is tailored for professionals who are passionate about individualized instruction and positively impacting middle school learners. As a vital member of the education team, you’ll provide both ELA and Math support to a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students, ensuring each receives targeted assistance according to their learning needs.
Enjoy a unique schedule with work hours running from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday through Thursday, allowing for long weekends and a balanced work-life routine. This role spans the school year, giving you the opportunity to see your students grow and progress over meaningful timeframes.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials or certification, with eligibility to work in Arizona schools
- Prior experience as a Resource Teacher is highly preferred
- Deep understanding of tailoring ELA and Math instruction to diverse learning needs
- Ability to manage and support a caseload of roughly 30 students in both small group and individual settings
- Strong skills in collaboration, communication, and maintaining organized records
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom culture
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs for assigned students
- Deliver targeted instruction in ELA and Math, adapting lessons to meet varied academic abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
