Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

WCS Healthcare is currently partnering with a psychiatric hospital in the Bronx, NY, seeking experienced Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support its Adult Mental Health population.

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated LPNs with at least one (1) year of experience working with adult psychiatric or behavioral health patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality mental health care in an inpatient setting.

• Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Location: Bronx, NY
• Setting: Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital
• Patient Population: Adult Mental Health
• Schedule: 5 Shifts Per Week
• Shifts Available:
  • Days
  • Evenings
  • Nights
• Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

• Provide direct nursing care to adult psychiatric patients under the supervision of Registered Nurses and physicians.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor patient behavior, physical condition, and response to treatment.
• Document nursing observations, interventions, and patient progress accurately and timely.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Support crisis intervention and de-escalation efforts when necessary.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment that promotes patient dignity and recovery.

• Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with the Adult Mental Health population.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• Strong communication, observation, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced psychiatric treatment environment.
