Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students from PreK through 8th grade as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. You’ll work alongside a fellow OT to split a caseload of approximately 60 students, providing essential services across four conveniently located sites—two directly across the street from each other, with the other two close by. Your expertise will help make a meaningful difference for children in need of occupational therapy within a supportive school environment.
What we’re looking for:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Proficient in standard OT practices and school-based documentation
- Ability to manage a full-time schedule across multiple sites
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- At least one OT must be capable of conducting evaluations
- Comfortable working with a wide age range (PreK through 8th grade)
- Dedication to helping students achieve their greatest potential
Role responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services to students, following individualized education plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and school staff to develop interventions
- Maintain timely and accurate records of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Conduct assessments and evaluations (as needed) to determine eligibility and progress
- Support and encourage students in developing essential life and classroom skills
- Adapt interventions to fit student needs, grade-level expectations, and IEP goals
- Travel between assigned school sites as scheduled
