Job Description
Step into an engaging school-based opportunity as an Occupational Therapist, providing support to K–12 students in a vibrant educational setting. Multiple OTs are still needed for onsite roles offering rewarding, hands-on involvement in students’ growth and success.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state
- Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric OT practices and interventions tailored for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- A passion for empowering children and adolescents of diverse abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services to students individually and in groups, addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care needs
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs for students with a wide range of abilities
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education teams to set and monitor student goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements
- Provide education and resources to staff and families to promote carryover of skills and maximize student independence
- Advocate for a supportive, accessible learning environment for all students
