Special Education Teacher in Madras, OR

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Oregon TSPC teaching license with a Special Education endorsement
• Prior experience as a Special Education teacher, either in-person or virtual environments
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
• Exceptional communication skills for partnership with families, staff, and administrators
• Ability to adapt and individualize instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
• Comfort with technology and digital platforms for instruction, documentation, and meetings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Case manage a caseload of approximately 35 special education students, coordinating services and documentation
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver engaging, standards-based virtual instruction tailored to students’ needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers for inclusive practices
• Partner with families, providing regular updates on progress and supporting student success
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
