The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of October, with hours from 9:00 am to 4:25 pm.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active substitute certification on DESE required
- Prior experience in school settings, particularly with behavioral needs
- Ability to pass district fingerprinting (each MO district requires a unique code)
- Dependable transportation to and from the school
- Professional demeanor and commitment to fostering student success
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student at the elementary level
- Assist with daily classroom activities, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Implement behavioral interventions, reinforcing positive student behaviors as directed by staff
- Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to meet educational and behavioral goals
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times
- Adapt and respond to student needs throughout the school day
