Special Education Teacher in Medina, OH

Key Qualifications:

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist license is required
• Demonstrated experience teaching or supporting students with IEPs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
• Ability to deliver individualized instruction, both in-person or virtually
• Proficiency in adapting curriculum to meet various learning styles and abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other specialists to integrate supports
• Assess academic and behavioral progress, maintaining thorough documentation
• Engage families in the educational process and provide regular progress updates
• Utilize evidence-based strategies and interventions to support student success
• Create a safe, nurturing, and respectful classroom community
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
