Per Diem Pharmacy Technician - Urbana, IL
Job Description
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide essential support as a Pharmacy Technician at a retail location in Urbana, Illinois, on a per diem basis. This role includes assisting pharmacists with prescription processing and inventory management while delivering excellent customer service to ensure a smooth pharmacy operation.
Location:
- Urbana, Illinois (Champaign area)
Schedule:
- Per diem coverage from September 15 to September 16
- 1st shift, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system
- Assist in dispensing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage and restock OTC inventory to maintain adequate supply levels
- Greet customers, address questions or concerns, and provide outstanding service
- Work with third-party prescription plans to resolve adjudication issues and facilitate prescription processing
Qualifications:
- Active and valid Illinois pharmacy technician license
- Minimum of 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
- Experience with Pioneer Rx system preferred
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
