A rewarding opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to support a small, 50-bed hospital in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This travel position offers the chance to work in a close-knit healthcare environment where your expertise directly impacts patient care.
Location: Kingsford, MI
Schedule: Five 8-hour day shifts per week
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks minimum, with potential extension
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify medication orders with accuracy and attention to detail
- Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflows
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to optimize medication therapy
- Apply pharmacokinetic principles to tailor patient treatment plans
- Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems to manage prescriptions and inventory
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan pharmacist license
- Proven hospital pharmacy experience, ideally within similar settings
- Comfortable working in the Northern Michigan region
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
