Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting students across K-12 as a School Social Worker in the Denver area. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide crucial services by covering two consecutive FMLA leaves, ensuring continuity of care for a diverse student population. Working in an itinerant capacity, you’ll make a direct impact on multiple school sites, collaborating with educators, families, and fellow support staff to help students navigate challenges and thrive socially and emotionally.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Licensure as a School Social Worker
- Demonstrated experience working with K-12 students in educational settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt and respond flexibly in various school environments
- Commitment to upholding confidentiality and professional ethics
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive social work services to students across multiple campuses
- Support students coping with academic, social, emotional, or familial challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to develop and implement intervention strategies
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Provide crisis intervention, consultation, and referrals as needed
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP processes
