Special Education Teacher in Mount Gilead, OH

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist license required
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs and adapting instruction to diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with evidence-based strategies for supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, general education staff, and school teams
• Comfortable integrating technology into instruction and participating in virtual platforms (if remote)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to students with diverse learning needs, modifying curriculum as needed for student success
• Develop, maintain, and implement IEPs in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, accommodations, and interventions
• Consult and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ holistic development
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to build strong partnerships and ensure consistent support
• Manage classroom environments that are supportive, inclusive, and structured
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and ongoing training as required
