B and B Attorneys PLLC is looking for a skilled Paralegal with workers' compensation experience to join their legal team in Edgewood, KY. Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with workers' compensation cases from intake through resolution
- Draft and file legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with courts and agencies
- Gather and organize medical records, accident reports, and supporting case documentation
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel on case status and updates
- Manage and maintain case files, deadlines, and litigation calendars
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategy
- Coordinate with medical providers and vocational experts as needed
Requirements:
- Prior paralegal experience in workers' compensation law is required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
- Paralegal certification (NALA, NFPA, or equivalent) is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Kentucky workers' compensation procedures and regulations preferred
- Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously
