Job Type: Full-Time

Join a Woman-Owned Aviation Consulting Firm Transforming Airport Operations

Plane Inglish is a woman-owned consulting firm specializing in Operational Readiness and Airport Transfer (ORAT) services. We partner with airports, airlines, and aviation stakeholders to prepare new and renovated airport facilities for successful Day One operations.

Our work sits at the intersection of aviation, logistics, project management, stakeholder engagement, and operational execution. We help ensure that every process, team, system, and facility is ready before the first passenger walks through the door.

We are looking for an experienced ORAT Aviation Program Manager who thrives in complex environments, enjoys coordinating large groups of stakeholders, and can turn moving pieces into a well-executed operational plan.

If you've successfully managed large-scale projects, operational transitions, construction programs, logistics initiatives, major events, or airport operations, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As an ORAT Aviation Program Manager, you'll lead operational readiness efforts for airport development and renovation projects across the United States. You'll work directly with airport authorities, airlines, contractors, vendors, and operational teams to ensure facilities are fully prepared for activation.

Program Management & Execution

  • Develop and manage ORAT strategies, timelines, schedules, and resource plans
  • Coordinate readiness activities across multiple project workstreams
  • Track milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
  • Support project budgets and resource planning
  • Ensure operational requirements are integrated throughout project delivery
  • Manage workflow processes and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

  • Build and maintain relationships with airport leadership, airline representatives, vendors, contractors, government agencies, and operational teams
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, working groups, and stakeholder sessions
  • Develop Stakeholder Engagement and Operational Interface Plans
  • Track action items, decisions, and accountability measures
  • Present regular updates and readiness reports to project teams and leadership

Testing, Training & Operational Readiness

This is where ORAT comes to life.

Think of it as managing a large-scale live production where every stakeholder has a role, every scenario requires planning, and every detail matters. The ideal candidate enjoys creating order from complexity and can coordinate hundreds of moving parts toward a successful opening day.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and executing operational trials, simulations, and readiness exercises
  • Developing detailed scenarios, scripts, and testing plans that mirror real-world airport operations
  • Coordinating logistics for training events, operational walkthroughs, and facility familiarization programs
  • Supporting development of induction, familiarization, and training plans
  • Leading go-live readiness assessments and operational validation activities
  • Conducting after-action reviews and documenting lessons learned
  • Ensuring staff, tenants, airlines, and airport stakeholders are fully prepared for activation

Candidates with experience in large-scale event planning, operational logistics, venue openings, transportation operations, or complex project coordination often excel in this area of ORAT.

Operational Transition & Facility Activation

  • Support transition planning from construction to operations
  • Coordinate facility handovers and occupancy readiness activities
  • Review project schedules, turnover plans, testing plans, and closeout requirements
  • Validate operational documentation, SOPs, maintenance manuals, inventories, and closeout materials
  • Assist move teams and mobilization teams during implementation
  • Support project closeout and turnover activities

Risk & Issue Management

  • Conduct operational risk assessments
  • Maintain issue logs, dashboards, and risk registers
  • Develop mitigation strategies and track issue resolution
  • Escalate critical risks and project impacts when necessary

Documentation & Systems Management

  • Develop and maintain ORAT SharePoint tools and reporting systems
  • Utilize project management platforms such as Primavera, Prolog, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Smartsheet, and similar tools
  • Maintain organized project records and readiness documentation
  • Track readiness metrics and project performance indicators

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Aviation, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of project management, construction management, operational readiness, logistics, or program coordination experience
  • Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aviation, airline operations, airport operations, ORAT, construction, commissioning, or facility activation
  • Familiarity with airport systems and operational environments
  • Experience coordinating large events, operational launches, or facility openings
  • Knowledge of Primavera, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, SharePoint, or similar project management platforms
  • Experience reviewing construction or design documents for operational impacts

Why Join Plane Inglish?

  • Competitive salary of $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Health insurance
  • IRA retirement plan
  • Paid time off and holidays
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Travel opportunities throughout the United States
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile airport development projects
  • Collaborative, supportive team environment within a growing woman-owned consulting firm

If you enjoy solving complex operational challenges, coordinating diverse stakeholder groups, and bringing large-scale projects to life, we'd love to meet you.
