What you will do
\nAssists the responsible person in performing the required duties for completion of install related tasks for electronic product lines and standard electronic systems. Observes the actions of the responsible person(s) and applies as directed.
\n\nHow you will do it
\nHelping with installation of electronic systems, including start up through final testing. Follow verbal and written instruction, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.
\nCarry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet or more.
\nMaintain a clean and safe work area. Pick up and properly dispose of all trash associated with SimplexGrinnell work.
\nWear appropriate safety equipment as required, including but not limited to hard hats and work boots. May be required to work alternate shifts or weekends to meet customer installation requirements.
\nPerform other duties as requested.
\nDaily submission of required paperwork.
\n\nWhat we look for
\nRequired
\nKnowledge of Fire Alarm and/or Security System experience
\nHigh School Diploma or GED
\nFollow verbal and written instructions, read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities.
\nConstruction experience required.
\nMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
\nSuccessful completion of drug screen and background check.
\nCapable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
\nAble to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
\nDemonstrate a high level of customer service.
\nStrong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
\n\nPreferred
\nExperience in an electrical trade preferred.
\nLow voltage experience is a plus.
\n\nHIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.10 - $22.16
\n(Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
