Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing manufacturing team in Tempe. Reporting to the finance leadership team, this role is key to maintaining complete and accurate financial records, processing vendor payments, and supporting month-end accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume 3-way P.O. matching invoices and verify approvals prior to payment.
• Match invoices to checks, assist with check distribution, and maintain accurate 1099 records.
• Onboard new vendors, respond to vendor inquiries, and reconcile monthly vendor statements.
• Code financial documents and summarize data using journals, ledgers, and accounting software.
• Assist finance leadership with month-end closing procedures and financial record keeping.
• Perform general office support, including managing filing, phone calls, and routine correspondence.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2–4+ years of dedicated Accounts Payable experience preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in accounting is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficient with 10-key by touch, MS Office (Excel and Word), and business software.
• Core Competencies: Excellent math, communication, and time-management skills with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Demands:

• Position requires sitting, standing, walking, and standard computer and office equipment use.
• Located in a regulated manufacturing facility; must follow standard safety policies and procedures.
