Guest Service Maintenance Technician

The Guest Service Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the hotel’s facilities and guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards. This part-time position involves performing preventative maintenance, handling repairs, conducting safety inspections, and supporting daily hotel operations. The role also includes providing shuttle service to guests and collaborating with the maintenance team while reporting to the maintenance manager. The technician will use hotel management software and maintenance tracking tools to manage tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public areas quarterly following hotel and brand standards
• Maintain equipment such as air handlers, pool pumps, and PTACs to manufacturer specifications
• Respond promptly to occupied room repair requests within 30 minutes
• Communicate concerns, priorities, and maintenance needs to hotel staff verbally and in writing
• Manage tools, maintain inventories, and ensure proper storage and control of disposable products
• Assist with the cleanliness and appearance of hotel interiors and exteriors
• Conduct safety inspections and respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, spills, and equipment failures
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and hotel standards for emergency lights, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and electronic locks
• Provide shuttle rides for guests to and from the airport as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience in preventative maintenance and safety compliance
• Strong skills in equipment repair and inventory management
• Effective communication and customer service abilities
• Problem-solving aptitude and physical stamina for standing, lifting, and various physical tasks
