CNA Caregiver

KPM Private Care is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and flexible CNA/Caregiver to provide essential care and support to clients in their homes. The CNA/Caregiver will assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, mobility, safety, and other daily needs while helping clients remain comfortable and independent in their own homes.

The ideal candidate is caring, responsible, dependable, patient, and willing to work a variety of schedules. This position requires the ability to work 8–12 hour shifts, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, and rotating shifts based on client needs and scheduling availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and compassionate care to clients in their homes.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor and accurately record vital signs as required.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor clients for safety.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation and records regarding client care.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to help maintain the client's home.
• Prepare meals and assist with cooking according to the client's needs and preferences.
• Assist with additional household or client needs when appropriate, including being comfortable around and helping with household pets such as dogs.
• Report changes in the client's condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
• Follow all KPM Private Care policies, procedures, and client care plans.
• Protect each client's privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.

Schedule & Availability

• Must be flexible and dependable with scheduling.
• Must be available to work 8–12 hour shifts.
• Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and rotating schedules.
• Ability to accept different shifts based on client needs is strongly preferred.
• Must be reliable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Scheduling may vary depending on the needs of our clients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CNA certification preferred/required for CNA positions.
• At least 1 year of caregiving experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience providing personal care and assisting with ADLs.
• Knowledge and experience monitoring vital signs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Experience with meal preparation, cooking, and light housekeeping.
• Comfortable working independently in clients' homes.
• Comfortable around household pets, including dogs.
• Dependable, responsible, and willing to work a flexible schedule.
