Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt lessons and materials based on student needs
- Current understanding of special education laws and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver differentiated instruction in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed
- Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Effectively manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development sessions, and team planning
