Step into a rewarding school-based setting supporting students’ communication needs on the East/Northeast side of the Houston metro area. This contract opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) who thrives in a collaborative, educational environment. You’ll work onsite at three designated campuses, empowering students from middle to high school to succeed through improved speech and language skills.
What we’re looking for:
- Active Texas SLPA license required at time of application (submit screenshot with your resume)
- Proven school-based SLPA or SLP experience, with confidence managing your caseload independently
- Capability and commitment to work on-campus at multiple locations within the Houston area, with reliable transportation
- Willingness and ability to purchase a laptop (cost will be fully reimbursed)
- Ability to complete required fingerprinting within three days of contract signing
- Availability to start as soon as possible and continue through May 28, 2027
- Professionalism and excellent communication skills
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality therapy services under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Manage and implement therapy plans for students across three campuses
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes as outlined by school and district policies
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and team members
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on student-centered solutions
