School Speech Language Pathologist - Oxford, Michigan

In this contract position, you'll serve as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working across four nearby schools. You'll spend your days at a single site before rotating to the next, eliminating constant travel and allowing you to build meaningful relationships with both students and staff.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Valid state licensure to practice as an SLP in educational settings
• Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations
• Strong understanding of speech and language disorders in general education and mild to moderate special education students
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to document and manage IEPs, treatment plans, and progress reports

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language therapy for a caseload of approximately 10 students per building, including those with mild cognitive challenges, on the autism spectrum, and general education speech needs
• Deliver assessments, develop goal-oriented plans, and implement individualized therapy interventions
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and inclusion
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
• Serve as a resource for staff on best practices in language development and communication support
