We are looking for a Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to support day-to-day people operations for an aerospace organization in Long Beach, California. This Long-term Contract position is fully on-site and will help deliver a smooth employee experience by assisting with onboarding, records management, compliance activities, scheduling, and team coordination. The role is well suited for someone who is organized, discreet, and comfortable handling a wide range of administrative and HR-related tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate onboarding activities, including orientation preparation, onboarding logistics, and accurate entry of employee details into internal systems.
• Maintain organized electronic personnel records, update employee status changes, and prepare documentation related to separations and offboarding.
• Provide responsive support to employees and managers by assisting with routine HR questions, departmental requests, and general administrative needs.
• Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and document key discussion points or follow-up actions when notes are needed.
• Support HR programs throughout the year, such as performance review cycles, compensation-related processes, benefits enrollment periods, and training follow-up.
• Help plan and carry out employee engagement initiatives, recognition activities, and workplace events while ensuring materials and supplies are available.
• Complete employment compliance tasks, including I-9 administration, record retention, and other HR documentation requirements.
• Process incoming and outgoing mail, assist with invoice-related coordination, and contribute to special projects assigned by the People & Culture team.• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in human resources, office administration, or a comparable support-focused role.
• Working knowledge of onboarding, HR administration, background checks, HRIS tools, and HR compliance practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across departments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and maintain close attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Must be able to work on-site in Long Beach, California, including occasional movement between buildings and periodic support for company events.
