Position Objective:

The Charlotte, NC Industrial products production facility is a fast-paced manufacturing facility that is looking for a Production Planner to join their Materials team. The Production Planner is responsible for sequencing kits and delegating inventory movements for multiple sites.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Production Planner is responsible for sequencing kits and delegating inventory movements. This role is crucial for having our lines run efficiently while meeting customer expectations, and is a lynchpin between communication of our materials planning, material execution, 3PL, and operations teams. This role has major influence on the success of multiple product lines.

Working hours are from 12:00pm – 9pm, Monday through Friday, with some overtime needed when necessary.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS/ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Responsible for executing the schedule through the releasing and sequencing of kits to the material handlers for picking.

• Responsible for coordinating with the 3PL and the materials teams to ensure timely delivery of kits.

• Responsible for delegating inventory transactions.

• Responsible for driving the scheduling and picking of kits.

• Responsible for recording discrepancies, coordinating cycle counts, and communicating expedites.

• Work with receiving team to coordinate hot inbound deliveries.

• Track turnbacks to standard processes and perform root cause analysis to help solve systemic issues

• Ensure production takt is met to achieve planned results

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work with urgency

- High school diploma or GED with 1+ years of operations experience

- Demonstrated leadership ability

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

- Detail oriented and strong written and oral communicator

- Proficient in SAP MRP systems (or similar)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with lean manufacturing and kaizen continuous improvements.

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
