  • Select appropriate engineering methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to solve complex technical challenges.

  • Develop standards and technical guidance for diverse engineering activities.

  • Make authoritative technical decisions and recommendations while balancing product performance, cost, and schedule.

  • Identify opportunities to improve engineering methods, product quality, effectiveness, and overall program performance.

  • Maintain current knowledge of aerospace engineering developments and recommend innovative solutions.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline applicable to the position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions.

  • 10 years of experience in a specific technical discipline OR 15 years of broad engineering experience across multiple technical disciplines, with a bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong experience designing and developing aircraft interior furnishings, amenities, installations, or related aerospace products.

  • Demonstrated understanding of aircraft product development from concept through production and sustaining.

  • Experience developing engineering models, drawings, assemblies, and complete end-item designs.

  • Experience with CATIA V5 and SmarTeam.

  • Experience with Part 25 aircraft requirements.

  • Ability to independently resolve complex engineering problems and make sound technical decisions.

  • Strong understanding of design standards, manufacturing requirements, quality expectations, and schedule constraints.

  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Advanced-degree experience credit: Related advanced degrees may receive experience credit, limited to 2 years for a master’s degree and 4 years for a PhD, when the degree is in a field applicable to the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
