Job Title: Construction Technician

Job Description

This role supports construction activities on a new build data center industrial site by performing site cleanup, loading and unloading materials, and assisting the crew with general tasks as needed. You work closely with the foreman and other team members to keep the site safe, organized, and running smoothly during daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular site cleanup to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
• Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Monitor dumpster levels and promptly notify the foreman when dumpsters are full or need to be replaced.
• Assist tradespeople and other team members around the site with general labor tasks as needed.
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly in accordance with site procedures and training.
• Follow all safety guidelines and practices, including OSHA standards, while working on commercial and industrial construction projects.
• Support the daily workflow on the construction site to ensure work progresses according to schedule.
• Communicate clearly with the foreman and crew about site conditions, material needs, and any issues that arise.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience working on commercial or industrial construction projects.
• Hands-on experience with basic construction tasks, including site cleanup and material handling.
• Ability to safely operate and handle common hand and power tools used on construction sites.
• Understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to follow OSHA guidelines.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to pass drug screening and bckgd checks, including any required waivers and badging processes.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale commercial or industrial construction sites, such as data centers.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tasks.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with the foreman and other crew members.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and follow instructions from supervisors and experienced tradespeople.

Work Environment

You work on a new build data center industrial site that operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The setting is a commercial and industrial construction environment where you use hand and power tools and handle various building materials. The site emphasizes strict safety standards, including OSHA-compliant practices and adherence to drug and bckgd screening requirements, as well as any necessary badging processes. You can expect a busy, active worksite with coordination among multiple trades, where appropriate work attire and personal protective equipment are required to meet construction safety guidelines.

This is a Contract position based out of Marysville, OH.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
