Job Description
Step into a rewarding school-based role providing speech-language services in a supportive educational environment. As an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist, you will offer your expertise across four nearby schools, with the opportunity to focus on one school each day. This position centers around a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students per building, supporting children in general education with speech needs, as well as students on the autism spectrum or those with cognitive communication challenges. All cases are mild to moderate, allowing you to make a meaningful impact as students develop their communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling across sites
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and family members
- Clear, compassionate communication style when working with students of diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to providing individualized, evidence-based speech therapy interventions
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting speech, language, and communication assessments in line with IEP requirements
- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized treatment plans
- Providing direct therapy services with both general education students and those with varied mild-to-moderate needs
- Keeping detailed records and progress notes
- Attending team meetings and collaborating on student goals
- Traveling to one assigned school per day; all sites are in close proximity and easily accessible
