Are you looking to break into the healthcare field or grow your administrative career? We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Referral Coordinator to join a fast-paced specialty healthcare team in Lakewood, Colorado.

This role is ideal for individuals with experience in customer service, retail, reception, or administrative support who are interested in building a long-term career in healthcare. You'll receive hands-on training, work alongside experienced professionals, and gain valuable knowledge of medical referrals, insurance verification, and patient coordination.

What You'll Do

As a Referral Coordinator, you'll play an important role in helping patients access the care they need by ensuring referrals and insurance requirements are completed accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Obtain referrals from primary care physician offices for scheduled patient visits
• Verify insurance information and authorization requirements
• Coordinate and schedule incoming referrals
• Monitor provider schedules and obtain referrals for additional appointments
• Serve as a liaison between patients, physician offices, insurance carriers, and internal departments
• Collaborate with patient services and billing teams to support seamless patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and records within electronic medical systems
• Assist with phone communication and patient inquiries

QualificationsRequired

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of customer-facing experience

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working with a multi-line phone system or high call volume

• Referral, scheduling, or insurance verification experience

Schedule

• Full-time
• 8-hour shifts
• Availability required between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Golden, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
