Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably with students on the autism spectrum
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, resourceful approach
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create a nurturing learning experience
• Commitment to individualized instruction and positive behavioral support

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to a caseload of five middle school students in the autism unit
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Engage in ongoing communication with parents, general education staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Create a structured and positive classroom environment
• Document student progress consistently and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth throughout the school year
