Job Title: Electrical Engineer - HVAC SystemsJob Description

Join our dynamic team as an Electrical Engineer, where you will design and document electrical and electromechanical products and systems for commercial HVAC equipment. You will provide engineering support across various stages, including application, fabrication, testing, installation, and repair.

Responsibilities
  • Design electrical products and systems such as microprocessor controls and electrical power/control panels for HVAC equipment, adhering to engineering design standards, customer specifications, and code requirements like NFPA 70, UL 1995, and UL-2-40.
  • Select and integrate electrical components, analog and digital control components, and communication components for serial networks and building management systems.
  • Create engineering documentation related to the electrical design of HVAC equipment, including design spreadsheets, SAP bill of materials, electrical schematics, sequence of operations, and control panel layouts.
  • Design test control equipment and develop methods for testing products or systems.
  • Provide engineering support and generate technical information for sales, marketing, applications engineering, production, and field service groups.
  • Evaluate field installations and recommend design modifications to eliminate equipment or systems malfunctions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or 4 years of experience in performing electrical engineering duties under direct supervision.
  • Proficiency in Electrical CAD drafting using AutoCAD or Zuken E3.
  • Experience in BOM creation and maintenance within an MRP system, preferably SAP.
  • Experience with electrical engineering in a manufacturing setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Familiarity with Zuken E3 or CAD electrical is preferred.
  • Experience in HVAC manufacturing is desirable.
Work Environment

The work environment is primarily an office setting, but you may be required to work in manufacturing areas or provide field support for equipment, which may involve exposure to higher noise levels, lower air quality, and various outside environments commonly encountered in HVAC equipment installations. This is a Permanent position based out of Frederick, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
