Assistant General Manager – High-Volume Gastropub | West Chester, PA

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 + Performance Bonus + Full Benefits + Future Growth Potential

Our award-winning gastropub concept in West Chester, PA is searching for an experienced Assistant General Manager to support our team, drive hospitality, and help elevate our guest experience to the next level.


Key Responsibilities for the Assistant General Manager

  • Support the GM in leading all FOH & BOH operations for a high-volume gastropub doing 400+ covers on peak nights
  • Hire, train, and develop managers and hourly staff with a focus on retention and culture
  • Drive financial results through P&L management, inventory controls, and labor optimization
  • Champion hospitality standards and ensure every guest leaves raving about their experience
  • Partner with culinary and beverage teams to execute seasonal menu changes and events
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and liquor laws while fostering a fun, accountable workplace


Ideal Assistant General Manager Candidate

  • 3+ years as an AGM or 5+ years as a Restaurant Manager in high-volume full-service, gastropub, or chef-driven concepts
  • Strong financial acumen: able to read a P&L and turn data into action
  • Hands-on leader who’s comfortable on the floor during busy services
  • Passion for craft food, beer, and cocktails with knowledge of current industry trends
