Fabricator/ Assembler (1st Shift)
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and testing manufactured products and preparing orders for shipment in a production and warehouse environment. You work on a first-shift schedule, building and fabricating components using hand and pneumatic tools, following schematics and documentation to ensure products meet quality standards and ship on time.
Responsibilities- Assemble orders for shipping and manufactured products accurately and efficiently.
- Build and test products in accordance with documentation, schematics, and drawings to meet scheduled ship dates.
- Utilize a KANBAN system to replenish and maintain appropriate stocking levels.
- Use hand tools and pneumatic assembly tools to complete kits and fabrication tasks.
- Test equipment ranging from basic components to complex assemblies, ensuring proper functionality.
- Pick and pack parts in a warehouse environment, including components for custom filtration systems.
- Handle a wide range of parts, from small items such as washers to larger metal or PCB components.
- Maintain accurate reporting of labor using the labor tracking system.
- Record and document test results and any manufacturing discrepancies using provided forms.
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to keep the work area organized and clean.
- Collaborate with a team of coworkers across different shifts to meet production and shipping goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and warehouse operations.
- Experience in building component-level parts in a production or fabrication environment.
- Ability to build from simple schematics with attention to detail.
- Ability to work from bills of materials (BOM) and drawings to assemble products correctly.
- Basic math skills to support measurements, counts, and production tasks.
- Basic computer skills to operate labor tracking and documentation systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity, with practical experience in assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, including pneumatic assembly tools.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams and blueprints related to fabrication and assembly.
- Comfort working in a production, assembly, and warehouse environment.
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and timely completion of tasks.
- Electrical experience is a plus and beneficial for testing and assembly of more complex equipment.
- Experience with fabrication processes and tools in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with KANBAN or other inventory replenishment systems.
- Ability to document test results and discrepancies clearly and legibly on provided forms.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple orders and custom parts effectively.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across different shifts.
- Reliability and flexibility to support occasional Saturday work when required.

Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a large facility that includes both manufacturing and warehouse areas. The warehouse is in a separate part of the building, is not temperature controlled, and remains very quiet, providing a focused atmosphere for picking and packing tasks. The facility has six dock doors and supports custom orders for filtration systems, with parts ranging from very small components like washers to larger metal or PCB parts. You work on a team of about 15 people, with roughly five people on each shift, and follow a Monday through Friday first-shift schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional Saturday work from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. when needed. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and safe use of hand and power tools in both assembly and warehouse operations.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
