Pay Rate: $20.10 / hour

Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Assembler to perform a variety of operations assembling mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and sheet metal enclosures. In this role, you will work on complex assignments requiring judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills. You will determine and follow the methods and sequence of operations for hand soldering, wire harnessing, and cabling on assembly units, utilizing assembly prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to build drawers, chassis, enclosures, and racks.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
• Set up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
• Document test results accurately and maintain logs/records denoting any malfunctions.
• Perform necessary repair work and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Perform other production duties as needed.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 6+ months of production assembly experience, specifically with vocational experience in mechanical assembly.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Core Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in hand soldering, wire-wrapping, cable harnessing, and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machine operation.
• Blueprints & Schematics: Strong ability to read and work from established assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Compliance & Knowledge: Strict familiarity with IPC-610, ESD standards, and strong component polarity knowledge.
• Tools & Technology: Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment, as well as basic computer proficiency (MS Teams).
• Soft Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, basic arithmetic skills, and the ability to make recommendations to resolve technical problems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely push, pull, and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Note: Forklift certification is NOT required for this role.
