As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for precision assembly operations that require accuracy and attention to detail. You will interpret blueprints and schematics, utilize various tools, and maintain production records while ensuring product quality through inspections and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
  • Use hand and power tools to perform complex assembly operations.
  • Interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and production documentation.
  • Identify and report quality defects, safety concerns, and equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot assembly problems to ensure product quality.
  • Conduct in-process and final quality inspections.
  • Convert raw materials into composite components and assemblies.
  • Calculate, weigh, mix, and catalyze paints, finishes, and resins.
  • Communicate with technicians to complete production objectives.
  • Follow Manufacturing and Inspection Procedures (MIPs) and Work Orders.
  • Inspect work for defects, imperfections, or non-conformances.
  • Support the team in designing and fabricating protective packaging.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with 5S, AS9100, OSHA, and EPA standards.
  • Basic math and mechanical knowledge.
  • Manual dexterity and good eyesight.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma.
  • United States Citizen.
  • Prior experience in a crafts field or manufacturing is beneficial.
  • Industrial certifications are respected.
  • Two-year technical certificate is highly desired.
  • Experience operating within a Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Leadership skills.

Work Environment

Work in an air-conditioned composites manufacturing facility with minimal supervision. Most processes require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Production occurs on the 1st shift, but extended hours or weekends may be necessary. Be prepared for exposure to normal manufacturing noise, sanding debris, and hazardous chemicals, and adhere to safety regulations. Must be able to stand for several hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenville, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
